CLEVELAND, Mar 23, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Brush Engineered Materials Inc. (NYSE:BW) announced today that it has appointed Mark M. Comerford President of Brush International, Inc. Brush International is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brush Engineered Materials.
Brush International, Inc. has service centers in Germany, England, Japan and Singapore that primarily focus on the distribution of alloy products while also providing local support to portions of other subsidiaries of Brush Engineered Materials operating internationally.
In addition to his senior management role with the international businesses, Comerford oversees sales, marketing and technical services functions for Brush Wellman Inc.'s Alloy Products group. Brush Wellman Inc. is the largest wholly-owned subsidiary of Brush Engineered Materials Inc.
Comerford joined Brush Wellman as Managing Director, Brush Wellman-Singapore in 1998 and has progressed through various commercial roles during his tenure at Brush. Prior to joining Brush Wellman, he worked at Carpenter Technology and American Brass in various metallurgical engineering, international and commercial management positions.
He is a 1984 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgical engineering and materials science and holds an MBA from Canisius College of Buffalo, New York.
