Brush Wellman Inc. Announces Global Price Increase on All Premium Industrial Alloy Products

Cleveland, OH – November 3, 2008 - Brush Wellman Inc.'s Alloy Products group announced today that it will increase prices worldwide on all premium grades of beryllium alloy and copper/nickel/tin products.

Fabrication prices will increase 5-15% with all orders placed in December 2008 for shipments beginning January 1, 2009.

Increases will be as follows:

  • C17200 - Strip, Rod, Bar, Tube & Plate
  • 5%
  • MoldMax®, MoldMax V® and MoldMax SC®
  • 5%
  • C17000 – Strip, Rod, Bar, Tube & Plate
  • 5%
  • FormaMet®
  • 5%
  • C17410, C17460 and C17510 - Strip
  • 10-15%
  • Beryllium Nickel
  • 5%
  • ToughMet®
  • 5%
  • C17510 - Rod, Bar, Tube and Plate
  • 5%
  • C17300
  • 5%
  • Foundry Products
  • 5%

    These price increases are necessary to offset inflationary pressures caused by raw materials and processing chemicals used in both our mining and manufacturing operations.
